Very technical and up-to-date (May 2009). Nice format and presentation. Even if all the technical stuff leaves you flabbergasted, there's still much of interest, as well as excellent leads to some fine resources and sources. If you're interested in avoiding the old cartography prep routines, and wish to prepare specialized maps, learn how to code FGS! (I'm also preaching to myself.) If this were a "how-to" book, it would be twice the size. It presumes basic knowledge of coding, and this seems fair. Go for it. (Also preaching to myself).
