In a global world it is often hard to know what happens in other places but this DVD lets viewers see some interesting places. It is great to hear the photographer's comments. The best part is the view point of this being art so the viewer is free to decide what they think of what they see - it's not preachy. Dislikes: the Al Gore quote on the front of the DVD case.
This DVD should be required viewing for all americans. This documentary takes a trip through many of Chinas manufacturing facility. The Director really dose not editorialize but just shows the viewer snapshot of everyday China. The conclusions you the viewer will draw from this film will leave you close to spaceless.
This was a real eye opener for me and some of the most beautiful pictures i have ever seen.I never knew what happens to the things we throw out and its an amazing journey it takes. It will also make you appreciate the country we live in and the effort that goes into our safety at the workplace."Slumdog millionare " for the manufacturing industry.
The movie is a work of art to say the least. It shows the commercial recycling, manufacturing and industrial affects on culturally centralized environments. The pictures actually say a 1000 words. The interpretations you perceive are shocking and insightful. Definitely a good movie!!
I think that it shows our interdependence with China in a new and scary light. Amazing photography and cinematography, but the new kind of earth altering architecture is so awakening.
