If you are a Kevin Smith fan, then you will want to put Mallrats into your collection. I rated it good, because he did not include all of the characters from Clerks. The actors and characters that did make it in did do a good job in their parts. There are some nice cameo appearances and our hood rat duo; Jay & Silent Bob our back in action. Jay & Silent Bob fans will not be disappointed, since they get a lot of camera time. Clerks fans be warned, Dante and my favorite Randall, did not make it into this one. Actor Brian O’halloran (Dante) does make an appearance as Suitor #3 on the game show, but he isn’t playing Dante. You can tell that Jason Lee (Brodie Bruce) was the one that got Randall’s lines. All in all it’s a good movie and is a cult classic. If you are a Kevin Smith fan, then you do need this one in your collection. On a side note, make sure you pick up Clerks II. It is excellent.Read full review
I bought this movie because I'm a good fan of Kevin Smith's other work, I had already seen the movie and knew it was good, and the mall that it was shot in is a mall I actually used to go to quite a bit. Like the movie title hints at, a vast major of it takes place in a mall. It stars some famous actors like Ben Afflec, Stan Lee, former pro skateboarder and founder of Stereo Skateboards, Jason Lee, and of course Kevin Smith "Silent Bob" and Jason Mewes "Jay", as well as a few others people may recognize when they see them. THe plot is simple; a couple guys get dumped by their girlfriends and decide to just go hang out at the mall. While at the mall, they notice that there is a dating game show being hosted, in which they see they can try to get their girlfriends back. For a little while of the movie, they try to sceme up a way that they can be on the dating show themselves. This movie is a hilarious movie, especially if you are a fan of Kevin Smith and his characters "Jay & Silent Bob", because I think that Mallrats has one of the best "Jay & Silent Bob" performances to date. I definately recommend this movie for a BUY if you are a fan of Kevin Smith, but if your not, I still would say check it out some time; rent it, borrow it from a friend, but watch it at least once.Read full review
I purchased this dvd to complete my collection of Kevin Smith films. I had not seen it and was curious to see if the unfavorable reviews were deserved. As Kevin Smith films go, this one is a little weak. The plot is a little too silly to be taken seriously, but, Jay and Silent Bob are always worth the price of admission. Stan Lee's cameo is fun to watch. While Mallrats is not in the same league as Dogma or Chasing Amy, It has its moments and the little inside jokes make sense if you own the other buddy films. Recommended for Kevin Smith fans and anyone wanting a 90 minute diversion from reality.
I am so glad to get this item. It arrived ahead of schedule and the price was great. Thanks for making this item available at such a great deal

When a couple of well-meaning slackers, T.S. (Jeremy London) and Brodie (Jason Lee), lose their girlfriends, they set about trying to reclaim their pride (and their ladies) in the most obvious of places - the mall. Once there, the pair push the limits of decency and mall etiquette, encountering an array of mall denizens, including Jay and Silent Bob from CLERKS and legendary comic book creator Stan Lee. A surprising number of misadventures ensue, bringing the boys the possibility of regaining their lady loves.
