I use these with the Quartet I do sound for. These are the 3rd set of speakers that I have bought. I have Mackie SRM 450 v2, SRM 450 v3, and now the Upgraded Thump. Sound wise, the Thumps are as clear as the 450 v2. One big benefit to these is the weight. For anyone doing a lot of set ups, these are for you. They are light weight and one person can easily set them up on a speaker stands. I have installed the Mackie Thumps in several mobile churches because of the ease of setup, sound quality and great power. As a sound professional, I would highly recommend these for general use. They are certainly a great addition to my other sets.

I host a karaoke show. I decided to change to powered speakers because I was tired of lugging around heavy power amps. These are good sounding speakers with an emphasis on bass, they really do "Thump" as they are called. My only complaint is the horn (tweeter) quit working in one of the speakers not long after I got them. I don't drive the speakers that hard either. I shouldn't have to do that with a new speaker. Luckily I was just under the 90 day warranty so I dropped it off at my local manufacturer service facility.

I use 2 thump 15s for our electronic drums and they sound great!! Love the tilt back feature in the upright position too on either side of drum kit. For the price these are the best speakers out there. I also have 2 JBL PRX which are nice but more than twice the cost.. I need a mackie sub now!!!

I purchased 5 used Mackie 1000 watt Thumps off eBay. I also have 2 JBL 1000 watt I use for my band. This provides more than enough sound for all my club and outside events we play. They are clear, have good range and as long as you don’t over drive them they are great for monitors and events.

It’s a GREAT value. I’m a DJ. I needed 2 of these for my first gig at a hookah lounge . They work great for about the first 2 hours, then they start to run out of gas ( clipping). It also doesn’t have the best audio quality . These are GREAT beginner DJ speakers, but if you’re looking to do more classy and professional events such as weddings, or even small events where the music will be loud and played for a long period, don’t waste your money. Save up and buy a better brand such as EV Or QSC. You’ll thank me later .
