The movie sets the plot and the tone when nice Midwestern guy Charlie Bello (Jesse Bradford; he was on West Wing for awhile) tells us that this is a story about the first and last time he fell in love. Elisha Cuthbert as Jordan is an unpredictable, often drunk, whirlwind of spontaneity and whimsy. But there is always a sense of something more behind her behavior. Comedic but insightful commentary from Charlie's roommate, Leo, as well as interactions with Jordan's strict psychiatrist father, Dr. Roark (Chris Sarandon from The Princess Bride) all give us the sense that there is more here than meets the eye. The plot reaches its climax when for some unknown reason Jordan needs to terminate the relationship....sort of. In fact, she wants each of them to write down why they love the other and then bury the letters under a tree in NY's Central Park. After a year, if each is ready to return to the relationship, they will meet and read each other's letter. To go further would be to reveal the ending although there is even more to go. There are some very touching scenes; especially the piano scene. Very clever ending. FYI, this is a remake of a Korean film loosely translated as "My Bizarre Girl" which is based on the true internet ramblings of the Charlie character.Read full review
Pleasant movie, better than leave highly rated Korean movie of the same name.

The movie totally suck in my opinion. The original version was so much better. Some of the korean humor from the original version didn't apply to this American version of My Sassy Girl. This is why the movie here was a flop. Both character didn't have great connection. It seems so fake when she was drunk also. I love Elisha Cuthbert but this is one of her worst movie by far!
