Good pedal. The sound is warmer and more analogue sounding than any other phaser I've heard. If you want the phaser before your dirt this is the pedal to get, as brighter pedals get shrill when distorted. It looks very cool with it's replicated 70's looks. But it lacks modern features like the a LED and a 9 volt power input. Beware of the warm response of this pedal though. If you want a more balanced and clean phasing sound, just get the regular block version. The 74 RI also introduces some noise to the signal.
Wow, what a great sound from this MXR CSP-026. Really smooth cycles that produce a really deep sound. Almost hypnotic when doing arpeggios. I thought it was a one trick pony, but it adds much needed color to so many tunes. And for the Dark side of the Moon textures, it is a necessity.

This Custom Shop reissue is the best you can find if you are looking for vintage tones. Which means also that you have battery only powering, no true by-pass and no LED. But it has a exceptionally smooth and warm tone,that you can't find with any other phaser I heard (including the regular MXR P90). It also sounds great with bedroom set up, at any level. I bought it with David Gilmour tones from the 70s in mind and it works perfect for me.
