Both M-80xt Moultrie trail cameras purchased from ebay have been working in the field for few weeks now. Pictures and video have been very good. Can't beet the price on this cameras. To early to say anything on the battery life. Got the cameras set up with 4 fast shots and is working excellent. Motion freeze ir works better then other cameras that's one of reasons I bought this camera. So far i have no dislikes about this trail camera. Moultrie makes great cameras for the money. I have 3 old ones that i still use to this date. Easy to set up and use. It also has many set up options. This is why I Purchased two of these.
The first game cameras that I have owned and used, bought two. After numerous reviews and personal contacts, I choose Moultrie. Glad I did. Great daytime video and stills. Nightime distance is good, but clarity is o.k. Purchased for surveilance of property. Have some great video of animals, and trespassing neighbors taken during the day. Will purchase Moultrie again, but with the black leds. Animals may not be able to see red, but people can is reason.
My experience with the Moultrie M-80XD was so good I purchased 4 more of them. I sold the 2 Reconyx cameras I had simply because I had a camera stolen and it is a lot easier to deal with losing $120 vs $500. Not to mention the picture quality is better and sensor range is further. The only issue is the noticeable battery life difference using lithium batteries vs alkaline. Lithium batteries are a must use with the Moultrie M-80XD. Will I buy another camera off Ebay. Eventually. It is also worth mentioning the company I purchased from offered an andditional year warranty at no charge.
I find it odd that even though I bought my camera at Walmart, E-bay sent me an e-mail to review it. I bought an M-80xt for $159 and I like it. It has a motion freeze feature for taking clear pictures at night. The motion freeze feature is well worth it, I wouldn't buy a camera without that feature anymore. Absolutely no blurry night photos with motion freeze.
The two M-80's I bought were not very good. I've had two M-80's for 4 years and they still word good but the two I bought through E-Bay do not perform as well. The daytime pictures are grainy with a faded out look.. They eat 8 double AA batteries in 2 to 4 days. I have had more then 30 trail cameras over the pass 15 yrs. This the first time I got two bad ones at the time. I would send them back but it's to much time and trouble. I also have M800 that worked well for two months and then the daytime pictures are all washed out.
