On paper, there are mobiles with better specs in one area or another, but taken as a whole, the Motorola X Pure Edition (XT1575) does everything it is supposed to very, very well. Removeable memory, use of a SIM card, dual band (CDMA and GSM) operation, an outstanding camera, and true all day battery come in a package that is compact, for what it is. The speakers are on the correct side of the phone, and headphones or speakers are easy to use, and quite secure. Paired with a Motorola blue tooth earpiece, noise cancellation and call quality are quite good. The mobile phone is easy to lock, has a better internal memory and a larger antenna. If anything, the networks are the only source of wailing and gnashing of teeth. Some network areas simply cannot or will not keep up with it. As a package, the MXPE is rather difficult to beat, in terms of value and utility. -DocRead full review

If you're looking for a larger screen phone that is simple and easy to use then this phone is perfect for you. Definitely the best phone I have ever owned. Easy to activate with StraightTalk (AT&T). The camera and video recorder is top of the line, and the keypad is also. Its the best for you can buy for that price. I would recommend it to anyone

I've been an avid iPhone guy... Then I've sworn by the Samsung Galaxy line for years (3, 4, and 5)... and both brands are, of course, great! BUT---after dropping my Gal 5 recently (just one-too-many times, I needed to replace. I didn't have the current "bank roll" to stay with those brands this time. SO, my brother and his son (who both use Motorola and have been MORE than satisfied), suggested I give them a try. After some research I found this "Moto X Pure Edition XT 1575" model----and frankly, I'M IN LOVE!! GREAT camera on BOTH sides; GREAT reception; STEREO SPEAKERS located on the FRONT (you won't 'get' the difference till you experience it...WOW!); STRONG, SOLID body build feel; and it's definitely a big enough screen to do anything comfortably, WITHOUT feeling like you're holding a giant piece of TOAST up to your ear! Haha. **NOTE: Only medium-strong battery life. Now, it's still pretty good, mind you---but just not crazy long. But, that being said, it utilizes a "Turbo Charging" system, so you can be back from nearly empty to totally changed in under an hour at most! Pretty impressive!** So, there ya go...I will highly recommend this phone... Particularly at this price--point! Hope that helps someone out there! Motorola---who knew!! "Hel-lo Mo-to"! 😀Read full review

This phone is, by far, the best I've used of all the phone I've owned. The phone is just a tad bigger than my old Droid Maxx XT1080, but that is a plus in my world. It's the first Motorola phone, that I know of, that has an option to rotate the Home Screen. This is a must when you use a sideways oriented kick stand. No more having to read sideways when you can't pick the phone up. This phone has most of the same built-in apps and functions, a few new ones and there are a couple of apps and functions that no longer exist. But I've not found that I am missing them. If you've been used to the older Droid phones and their screen and app organization, you will have a bit of a learning curve with the Moto X Pure and, I assume, the Moto Z phones. The home screen is not the center screen, it is the left-most screen and all other screens are added to the right of the home and subsequent screens. A huge plus with the Moto X Pure Edition is the fact that, as far as I can tell, you can add an infinite number of screens. As the last screen fills up with apps and widgits, another screen is automatically added to the right. You can, also, move the sub-screens back and forth just ike you move apps and widgets. If you find that you're using screen #3 move than screen #1 or #2, just move screen #3 to the 1st position after the home screen and you're good to go. No more moving every app or widgit individually. The older Droid Maxx, and prior, only had the 5 screens (home screen in the center and 2 extra screens on each side of home screen). There was never enough room for apps and widgits on the older phones. The Moto X Pure integrated seamlessly with all three of my Plantronics BT earpieces, my Delton BT Headset, my Memorex BT speaker and my Toshiba Tecra Laptop (after a little tweaking in the Toshiba BT Module). It also works very well wth my Dragon Speaking Naturally remote dictation app (using the phone as a remote headset with the Plantronics BT earpiece). Another plus, for me, is that it fully accepted and works very well with the Square credit card reader. This function is one of the most important for me and I had experienced problems with this on the Droid Maxx. The only drawback I have found on this phone is the battery life. The charge only lasts for about 1 to 1 1/2 days, depending on daily, active use, where the Droid Maxx could go as long a 2 and maybe 3 days before having to charge it. In my opionion, this is a minor irritation as I set my phone to charge every night and, when traveling, I have it on the car charger at all times, since I use Google Maps navigation constanly. In conclusion, I highly recommend the Moto X Pure Edition phone for all your communcation needs. It seems to be tough, reliable, easy to learn and operate right out of the box. As always, you can't go too far wrong with Motorola and especially the Moto X Pure.Read full review

Wonderful high end smartphone without the high end price! Motorola adds their special touch to the android system! Great for tech geeks! Be aware that this is a larger cell phone and does not fit well in small pockets!
