A simply spectacular book filled with nursery rhymes and incredibly beautiful pictures to cross stitch on such things as samplers, pictures, bookmarks, bellpulls and the like. Tedd Arnold has offered up some very intense (yet not too difficult to stitch) pictures to go with Mother Gooses rhymes and it will take no time at all to place some of these designs on waste canvas on a child's or even adult's shirt. The directions for stitching are small type and the designs are divided as well as they can be. It will be up to the stitcher to make copies of these designs as doing them straight from the book doesn't do the book any justice and can get you all confused. If you are looking for true representations of little boys, little girls, geese, Santa and all things Mother Goose, this is the cross stitch book for you.Read full review
If you are expecting the cover picture to have a pattern inside, forget it. The author, in small print, says on the inside that you have to mail him money to get that pattern. This book is quite deceiving. Lovely patterns, but a bit of false advertising.
This is an absolutely beautiful book. Very wonderful patterns, that bring back the best of memories. The only dislike about the book is that not all of the cross-stitch samples shown are patterned. There are a couple of cute pre-done samples, as only partial patterns. But for the most part this is a book that I can stitch for my children and grandchildren.
I love the patterns. I checked it out at the library and found that I liked it so much I wanted to buy a copy for myself.
