$4.95, that's a good price for a game you know nothing about at a video game store. Taking a gamble, my friend bought it for how cheap it was and was on the road to happiness. Then after about 20 minutes, the game was just okay, and after 36 minutes, he really didnt like it at all! It can't be that bad, I foolishly thought, so I gave it a go. You choose from three characters, (werewolf, vampire and frankenstein) and your on a quest to free your master who was mysteriously kidnapped. Moving the main character around was smooth and fun, for a while, but then, something happened. The game started to stink! Your main goal is to mash pumpkins by holding down the B button to attack them, which is boring and time consuming. Then pull levers to open doors and do the same thing! And if no doors are avaliable, you go through portals around the level (which is pretty large) to pull a lever or stand on a button. The game is caked with Shadow Bosses, Robot Bosses and Monster Bosses that you must kill, but you face the same bosses through out the game over and over about three times each!! Did I tell you this game is frustratingly hard? Each level takes longer and longer the farther you progress, and it becomes hard to tell what is a monster and whats the background. Your able to get some power ups after certain levels, but it's so complicated to use them if you don't have the manual that they are almost pointless! The only reason this game does not have the worst rating is because the gameplay feels smooth and easy for the GameBoy. In short, don't play this game unless your bored out of your mind on a rainy day in a power outage by yourself and you can't sleep. Because quite frankly, I would rather sleep then play this steaming turd.Read full review
