I've had my tv for about 8 years and I've had to replace the lamp twice. It's an easy fix and the cheaper lamps work ok for the most part..however..some are made in Mexico and some in China. The problem I have had is that the contact plug on the bottom of the housing on some does not always connect when you try to plug it in. ..it seems to be offset and due to the way the housing fits into the tv..you cant see the bottom once you slide the lamp into position. After several minutes of me pressing on the housing to snap it in...the connector cracked and there was no way to fix it. So..I had to buy another with the hopes it was just bad luck. Fortunately, the next one I bought worked fine. Although, you may have to reset the tv first to get the picture to come on. Thought I had another bad lamp until I followed online instructions on resetting the tv when the red/yellow lights flash a 6-1 code. (6red 1yellow). All in all..$20 is a good price and its worth it to keep a good tv operating.Read full review

I got the part right away and you could tell a difference in the weight of the part right away vs the original. It looked identical, but when I tried to put it in the back of the TV it wouldn't go yet the original with the burnt out lamp slipped back in perfectly. I returned the product and brought another one from another company and that was a knock off also and I ended up returning it. In the end, I bought an original Mitsubishi lamp from Mitsubishi at full price and it was money well spent. Next time I will not waste my money on shipping and time buying a generic/knockoff of the origininal for my tv. It ended up costing me more in the end. Will note, that the company was efficient with sending me a shipping label and reimbursing me for the cost of the part, but I lost out on the shipping cost.Read full review

This lamp did NOT fit into my tv. Luckily I had read some other reviews and saw that this was a common problem. I had to disassemble the bulb from the housing and place it into the old housing to make it work. If you are not a handy/crafty Type you better buy an authentic Mitsubishi lamp at $100.

had to disassemble the old housing and new housing and move the new bulb to the old housing. was not simple as it shold have been. also had to make sure I did not remove my gloves, or the oils of my skin would ruin the new bulb. was not as it should be, but it is back to it's original brightness and I can nurse a few more years out of the old girl.
