Great value, easy to use
I bought the metal ring stretcher to custom size some of my wife's rings. Its very east to use and does a great job evenly stretching the rings to a perfect fit. For what I paid, I'll never go to a jeweler again for sizing. If I find a deal on a ring that's too small, I can still get it and make it fit perfectly.

Fishing weight
The machining on this item is not done well and the removal of burrs where the two parts are supposed to slide was lacking. If you push it together without a ring on it you will have a hard time taking it apart, if you put a ring on it better plan on using a large hammer to get it apart! I hade one before that came from EBAY and it was very well made and there were no burrs anywhere, it slid back and forth smoothly and was a joy to use (lost it in my move) DAMN!The machining on this item is not done well and the removal of burrs where the two parts are supposed to slide was lacking. Actually great
I was a bit skeptical as to whether or not this would actually work but it actually works great. Only downside is that the center part that you hammer is really hard to get back out. I used a punch and hammer to make that easier.

It really works
The rings I stretched were of heavy duty good sized bands. I was able to go up a couple sizes and yes one did have a very large stone. I would suggest take your time and check your progress. I would also not recommend stretching a delicate ring any further than a half size for example my sterling silver wedding bands which I have worn for 3 years and they surprisingly have kept there perfectly round shape. By the way I have strong hard working lady farm hands. I feel a delicate ring would lose its shape easily afterwards and eventually just plain break.The rings I stretched were of heavy duty good sized bands. That ring sizer is a great value, and will last a lifetime!i! I also use it when shaping coin rings, being careful not to strike surface of sizer with my hammer 🔨! Striking surface of any mandrel or anvil will be detrimental to its lifetime, hammer only on work-piece!i!
