I've been flying Sims from day one. I've flown every sim that or on the market. From day one. Microsoft flight sim, all there up grades and ad ones, or still the best out there. There are more sim add on for Microsoft's flight Sims cost from ok to high end ad on. But in the long run it is still the best just because it's the oldest sim to date. There or more products to buy than any other out there. My best choice X Plane 11 after Microsoft flight sim still wins. easy to set up and easy on low end computers. I recommend Microsoft's flight sim x.

It's okay, but I was unaware that I wouldn't get a disk with it and I have to sign on the internet to play it. Also, I am disappointed with the hornet carrier operations because there is no free flight carrier operation that I can find and I have to go through the whole training rig-a-Moro every time to practice my carrier landings. It is a little hard to orient yourself and I haven't made a successful carrier landing yet because it takes about 15-20 minutes between finals to practice and that eats up a lot of time. I can land on a runway with no problem because that option is available in free flight and I am used to runway landings anyway.

The good part is it works with Windows 10. I couldn't get a previous DVD version to work. It seems to take a really long time to load and I don't have a slow computer. My favorite plane, the Cessna 182RG is missing but there are a bunch of others to try. The most dissapointing thing is the scarce terrain detail. For instance, the Las Vegas Strip consists of two Casinos, the Tropicana and the Mirage. The older DVD version had much more elaborate terrain detail. I don't know why the terrain detail is so sparse on this STEAM edition.

This is a great game or simulator, I was addicted many years ago and I still like it. The downside is the company who sells or 'operates' the software now. As you may know already Microsoft abandoned this program a few years ago and it seems like Steam bought it and fix it so it could run in Windows 10. I do have Windows 10 and it did run with out any problems, even when I rearely have time to play so I haven't tested more than a few minutes at a time. The part I really don't like is Steam, they force you to install their software, which seems very untrustworty. Once installed it will run by itself everytime you open ANY web browser. I really don't like that, as I have no idea why they need that program running when I am not running the Flight Simulator. I do not like programs that try to take over my computer or my Internet, and the whole process seems just shady practices. Personally I stop Steam everytime it tries to run as I highly distrust this company. To me is like I hire a landscaper to do my yard and they do it for a low fee with the condition that a shady handy man will syat day and night seating on my porch.Read full review

You are lead to believe you are getting a disc that can be inserted and will do an auto-install and off you go...instead, you get a coupon to join a game cartel...you are entangled in a game selling mess and I don't particularly care who gets upset about this review...the product deception is so complete that the coupon shows up in a box used to ship and store dvd's...I feel very ripped off by this Steam product and its presentation on E-Bay...worst purchasing experience I have ever had, and there have been some bad ones...angry about the whole way this was done.
