I tried to clean my old one and ended up making it worse. I saw many people on here who left a bad review and said that the printer rejected this print head. The probably failed to update their firmware, honestly. I, too, saw that and shut it off and on several times. I bought the printer head before I did the firmware update and it failed each time I tried to put it in. It recognized it was not for this printer or something strange. It just knew. I then thought that if they discontinued support for this printer, they would likely include updating the firmware to accept after-market print heads and inks √ So, I updated the firmware, and it worked like magic! I had zero errors. After the firmware update, I had to take the print head out one more time, stick it back in, and then power it up and off by unplugging the cord. I know you're not supposed to do that, but I did, and the truth is the print head works, and I have printed good pictures. This printer is wide format and an excellent printer, and this print head will be accepted in the printer if you update the firmware. PERIOD. Its a good deal if your in the market. I took a chance and won but only because I updated my firmware. If you get into trouble, just take it out, put it back in, turn it on, and keep trying; sooner or later, it will work. After my update, I think I tried twice, and Walla! No issues whatsoever. I am a happy camper over here for sure. Read full review

From the ad I expected the printhead to be brand new in original packaging. This is most likely a refurbished printhead. It was not in the original packaging and lacked instructions and the small wiping cloths that comes with new printheads. It took about 2 weeks for it to finally function correctly. Now it does work fine, but since it took so long to work, I almost bought a new printer. As it is refurbished, it should have cost less. I am satisfied that it does work well now.

While i noticed less costly refurbished print heads i chose to pay the extra to get a new genuine HP. For a week so far the print head prints as it should.

This printer head was an exact factory replacement and saved my printer. It was delivered quickly and well packaged. I just snapped out the old one and replaced it with the new ... inserted the ink cartridges and the printer worked like new.

920 Printhead was what I needed to refurbish my HP6500 Officejet printer. After much cleaning of my old printhead, I was not able to use it. I needed a new printhead.
