I ordered this DVD when I was first starting my fitness journey. There are 2 workouts: the first is approx. 18 minutes and the second is approx. 33 minutes. It got my heart pumping! It had none of the complicated moves that had always left me frustrated and deflated in my previous attempts at whipping my body into shape. You won't need any equipment beyond comfortable shoes. Leslie's personality is endearing. She's a great coach and cheerleader. She makes you feel like YOU are special and YOU can do it! She encourages you to go at your own pace and to keep moving. The spiritual music and atmosphere are pleasant, but not overpowering. I've moved on to her longer DVDs and added some boosters (weights, the Ramp (Walkblaster), and other resistance items), but I still enjoy these when I just want to fit a short program into my day. The pace is just right for a beginner, the instructions are easy to follow, and the music is uplifting! Don't hesitate to try this...ANYONE can do this. It's not dancing and it doesn't involve difficult moves. It's a wonderful way to introduce yourself to Leslie's programs. With regular use, you'll be ready to tackle one of her more challenging routines on her many other DVDs. You WILL see results. Good for a healthy, new you!
The 1-mile workout is great for complete beginners, just the right portion of exercise to start with. No jumping, so gentle to your joints. Easy to follow routine, non-obtrusive commentary from the teacher, pleasant Christian music. Cannot wait to work my way up to the 2-mile intermediate workout. I'm really pleased that this DVD includes both (beginner + intermediate) so I won't have to get another one once the first one gets too easy :-)
This is an exercise tape we have used for ten years at our church basement for our senior women, 3 mornings a week. The disk is not available except E-bay--and we need a spare! 6 of the 7 women participants are over 80.

Very good exercise plan. Love Leslie Sansone workouts because they are easy to do yet very effective! Just give one a try. I maintained my weight over the Holidays just by using the dvd only 2, 3,-4 times a week (according to my work schedule). Now that was a pleasant surprise.
