As a passenger of Oceanic flight 815, you survived the crash and find yourself on an uncharted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. As you begin to unravel mysteries of the island, you begin to discover secrets of your own. You will have to understand your past mistakes in order to survive and find your way home... Based on the popular TV show, the game incorporates familiar locations and will feature main characters from the show. Solve puzzles, outsmart enemies, battle the smoke monster, and overcoming many other challenges to survive the island and ultimately come out alive.
I felt the controls, the sound and the gameplay itself were solid. It's worth a play, but not quite worth a buy. I beat this game in just under 3 hours, which is entirely too short. I'm very glad I didn't buy it when it first came out or I would have felt robbed. Re-playability is surprisingly low, even thought they talk about hidden areas, etc. The game is very linear and only includes about 4 or 5 different areas of the island to explore and it really only plays through the first season and possibly a short ways into the second season of the show storyline wise. You have trouble caring about the character and it would have been better/funner to have played out different events from the show as different castaways than playing as a character made up exclusively for the game. All of the puzzles are these fuse-mini games and they're remarkably boring after you've solved one or two. With no change up their they become more of a chore than an enjoyable piece of the gaming experience. Feels like they were on the right track with this game, it just requires a bit more. Okay actually it requires ALOT more. I just can't bring myself to give this game more than an Average. Because while it plays solid, it plays short and oft times boring. Final Words: Rent it, it's worth a play, but not a buy.Read full review
You have to follow the story line, there is no exploring really. But the characters are just like in the TV show. Sawyer is just as rude as ever lol! So far (and it hasn't been long) I'd say this is a fun game but not "awesome" or anything. If you like the TV show LOST then you'll probably like this game! I got this off of Ebay (duh right?) and it's cheaper here than in a used game store, another plus!
The learning curve is quite easy. Most people are disappointed you are not one of the characters from the show, but its nice having your own storyline within the "Lost" environment. And that storyline is fantastic! The "Previously on Lost" segments help with a quick reminder of where you left off in the game. All in all it is definitly a quick game for advanced gamers, but entertaining none the less. Great for Achievement junkies. 1000 points easy. If you are a Lost fan, its def worth a go!
I was initially drawn to, and inevitably purchased the game due to my strong interest in the Lost series. I thought it was a good idea how they created the new character and intertwined the game throughout the series episodes that have already happened, so as to put a better understanding and more perspective in the hands of the gamer. My only complaint was that I thought it was a little short; I mean, come on, I finished in just four days, and I didn't even play it that much time. All in all, I thought it was a good game, but I believe it could've been much better.
