This mouse might be the best gaming mouse on the market. I play Battlefield 4 and notice a huge difference over my previous standard OEM mouse. The software is easy to install and configure. 650-750 dpi is the sweet spot for FPS games. One thing about the software that is very nice is the firmware update feature. If they find an issue it gets corrected quickly. I highly recommend this mouse for all ages and applications. My mother is 80yrs old with bad arthritis. She has no problem playing her web games for hours on end. I bought a Turtle Beach Drift mosue pad to go with the G500s. Oh man.....this is one great combo.

The first gaming mouse I ever bought was a logitech g500 and I have used it for around 6 years. It's still working today. After all those years, I thought I should try something new and then I bought a white MadCatz RAT mouse. It did not last 2 whole years. Some stuff never worked properly (like the thumb wheel for example), and after a few months every single piece of that mouse was loose. I'm back to logitech mouses with the g500s and it feels great. Smooth tracking, nice grip, fits perfectly in my hand and it comes with a really easy to set up software. Great product.
i enjoy the functionality of it, the scroll click button is nice if you want a smooth scroll or a clicked one. the dpi button will rarely get used. good comfort, shape and texture are great, maybe perfect. the styling is a little dorky. logitech makes good products.

The Logitech G500S is a MUST HAVE for anyone with a personal comoputer and a large screen high resolution monitor. Reason I am saying this is because of the customizable weight and feel, highly accurate mouse movement, and unmatched overall comfort while browsing or scrolling. The laser mouse movement is precise on most surfaces and mouse pads. Touch screens are nice, but if your monitor is at a distance from you and out of arms length reach, a mouse is the only way to go. Plus, the mouse has a right click and left click button among many other programmable buttons that further increase functionality.
Had the older version love this one except my old one you could up the speed 4 times via the mouse button
