All features of the Logitech Software are usable with this camera (which is not the case with some of the budget Logitech cameras). Face tracking works, as well as pan and tilt options in the Logitech software. Given that most microphones on webcams sound tinny, distant and echoey, the C615 actually has a pretty decent mic, and for general Skype use and YouTube videos, an additional mic is not needed, IMHO. For mounting options, the C615 has a foldable bracket with rubber pads which hold it securely on an LCD monitor. This allows the C615 to be manually panned and titled without it won’t fall off the monitor and it’s also capable of 360 degree rotation as well. The mounting bracket can be folded up, so the camera can sit level on a desk and it also has a built-in tripod mount. If you plan on mounting this camera on top of a monitor, I suggest getting a video capable USB extension cord. The C615 works perfectly with Windows 10 (given that I have 8gb of ram installed in my Dell desktop) and have experienced no lagging or choppy videos. It webcams at a true 720p and can record at 1080p. The only downside I see to the 1080p mode, is that when recording at 1080p, the software automatically begins to compress the file at the conclusion of taking the video (and gives no option to cancel). Due to the fact that the Logitech software saves video files in Windows .wmv format, ) the 1080p files tend to be rather large, and a mere 25 sec 1080p test video I shot, converted to a 40mb file. There may be other 3rd party 1080p recording software out there that can enable recording in other formats however at the time of this wring, I’ve not researched that solution. All in all, I'm very pleased with the C615 and I highly recommend it. One other downside to this camera is that when it is used for an extended period of time (lengthy skype sessions) the camera gets warm and the auto-focus tends to stick, which is why I rated the camera 4 stars.Read full review

I am glad I bought it. Picture and sound are perfect. This is what LOGITECH must do better: Supply a longer cable, not just 4 feet. I had a hard time identifying and finding an extension cable, then go and buy one . Walmart's website offered it, 1 meter long. $5.47 with store pick-up. No instruction manual: I did not know that after installation the microphone sound was at a low abt. 30%. I could hear, but my party could not. Happened several times. By chance I found on my computer how to increase the sound level. Then when I attached the extension after I got it - the same problem again. But this time I could remedy it quickly. Why - why - why? All this trouble for the lack of a lousy two feet of cable and missing instructions!! I would have given it five stars but will not - see above reasons.Read full review

Bought this cam mainly to take still pictures to email to friends and also to shoot videos of myself singing and playing my guitar to play back to help improve my performance. Picture is clear sharp and has good color. Auto focuses quickly. Sound quality seems good, but other than to make sure it works, have not really use the video or the sound that much yet. Like being able to rotate the camera and the tripod mount is great to have. Unit is smaller than I expected which is great for portability.
Works well and the picture quality is excellent. No problems being recognized by Zoom and Microsoft Teams on both Windows and Mac computers. The mount is pretty versatile (nice that it includes a 1/4-20 thread socket like still and video cameras). The cable could be longer, but I think a new, unopened one comes with a USB extension.
