If you spend more than a couple of hours a day at a desk using a laptop, you will absolutely love this stand and wireless keyboard. For me, I work most days at a desk anywhere from 6-12 hours per day. This stand elevates the laptop display to a height that is much more comfortable on your body. I used to get a lot of neck pain and head aches until I bought this. The wireless keyboard is excellent in terms comfort and feel. It's wireless so you can put the keyboard on your lap, lean back and type away. The keyboard is a little longer from top to bottom because there's 3 inches of material below the bottom row of keys. This works like a wrist pad so that your hands stay at the proper angle while typing with less probability of having carpal tunnel issues. When you use the provided power adapter, you gain 3 additional USB ports. It's a full size keyboard, so you also gain a number pad if your laptop doesn't have one. This is great for Excel users like me. When you want to move to another area to work, you simply close the lid on your laptop, disconnect the power adapter from the back and any additional USB connections you may be using, and GO. It's that simple. I really can't say enough good things about this product!Read full review
Needing a laptop riser and cooler I found an Alto cheap. It has the quality you expect from Logetech, Good and a comfortabe keyboard. Useing with my 15 in clone-a-wanna-be-Alienware-Clevo Mutant, it proved to be stable on a regular surface, and not too much if on a tilt. It lifts the screen to a comfortable height and a keyboard position. Good for useing your Laptop as a Desktop, NOT Good if your drives are in front. Larger laptops have to "sit" in the hinge area of the keyboard. Large, so I would say an item you would carry in your bag, more like a limited port replicator, leave it on the desk. Limmited to semi-permenat location. Overall if it can be had for cheap, OK, I have better results with a cooler stand, usb hub and regular keyboard. I would give it a 10/10 for design. A 7/10 for ease of use. A 2/10 for portability. Not bad could be betterRead full review
I am very familiar with the Logitech Alto product since I have owned one for almost twenty years. The 'Wireless' model, which is an technical evolution of the original, was fine BUT the wrapping for the keyboard disintegrated while in storage and left a film on the palm resting portion and ate the plastic in several other areas. In addition, the two included AAA batteries leaked and had to be disposed of.
