I've got fat fingers but this little gem works perfectly for me. Yeah it is a little tight but I've got limited available space on my workstation. It's replacing my compac keyboard I got several years ago at a garage sale. That was a good little keyboard and even though it was small enough, I wanted something even smaller. I paid 20 bucks for that compac keyboard which I thought was high for something obsolete but I paid it anyway because I needed a board and there it was right in front of my face. This Logitech blows that board out of the water. Cost only 10 bucks too! I can type even faster with it. I do 90 plus per minute and maintaining that is no problem for me on this unit. So, I can maintain my "fastest pick and paw" in the west status with this! LOL

I got this because it has an older-style PS/2 connector. With my XP machine (which I will not give up, Microsoft turpitude notwithstanding), a PS/2-connected keyboard can take my pc out of standby mode with just a key selection. That doesn't work with a USB-connected keyboard. Newer pc's don't use PS/2; they all use the USB interface. This keyboard can be used with any USB-fitted pc if the appropriate adapter is used. That said, the keyboard quality is high. The only improvement would be a larger keyboard; it's a bit small for a desktop but maybe that's just my klutzy typing.
I started a new job and the only thing bad about the job was the keyboard that was waiting for me there. A real dinosaur, just horrible, maybe 15 years old. Kept asking Management for another keyboard, but no luck. Turns out they didn't even have a spare one in storage to give me - because they don't make PS/2's anymore. Their CPU's at this place only work with the old pinhead connections. (I know, I know, c'mon get with the program). Anyway, I decided to buy myself a new keyboard. Stores only sell the contemporary keyboards made for USB ports. So I searched on EBay, and there it was. I was so happy. New, never been used, arrived in great condition, couldn't be more pleased. Took it to work, popped it in - beautiful. My fingers glide and slide across the keys like they used to back in the late 90's. Love it. Just awesome. Thank you.Read full review

I use these keyboards with all of my new builds and as replacements for a failed keyboard. Some mother boards need a PS-2 keyboard to get the initial setup and set the BIOS to recognize a USB keyboard and mouse. They are small, rugged and inexpensive. I feel that if somebody needs a gaming keyboard, they can pick out what they like and keep this as a back-up or spare. I have had one of these on my desktop since it was built 4 years ago and one on my repair bench longer than that.
