In this household we love Adam Sandler movies....yes they are silly, ridiculous and over the top...but there is no one else like Sandler and his merry band of regulars who can keep us entertained with crazy, entertaining movie after movie!! Little Nicky is no exception!! Sandler stars as - of course - Nicky. His father just happens to be Satan; and he has two brothers Cassius and Adrian who are after the converted role of Hells leader! But trouble erupts when Satan (Harvey Keitel) decides to extend his reign as leader; prompting his sons with the exception of Nicky to leave hell - in the process freezing the walls of Hell which in effect slowly kills Satan!! Only Nicky can save his dad....but he is a weak, desperate character who is no match for his brothers and doesn't exactly fit in on the streets of New York! Prepare for some hysterical roles as he adapts to life on earth...the sounds of the devil emitting from his snores for example!! His brothers played by Rhys Ifans and Tommy Lister also provide their fair share of laughs as they turn New York into its own living hell - the church scene has some great one liners and cannot be missed!! Of course, Sandler has to battle them and save his dad....and of course the plot and its ending is predictable, with noted cameos from the likes of Reese Witherspoon, and the Sandler regulars! But it is funny, enjoyable and has a great soundtrack to boot....a fun, typical Sandler movie that we really do enjoy!!Read full review
A very light silly, on the verge of goofy, movie That will make you laugh. Adam Sandler can play the roll of anyone! In this movie, he is the Devil's son who has "good" in him. He goes to Earth to look for his 2 evil brothers to take them back "home", becuse their Evil father is fading away, body piece by body piece. there are many cameo appearances in this movie, just as many of his others by stars. If you want a "thinking" movie, this is not the one for you. Also, I would not let my children watch this, now that I have seen it. Many referrals to strange sexuality that goes on in Hell. the "good" comes out in him, and he saves Earth from being overtaken by evil. Cute, but not mind shattering.
"Remember, at 4:00 you have to shove a pineapple up Hitler's a**" Adam Sandler has a long list of hit movies that can all be considered a little strange at the best. His fans have grown to not only appreciate this, but to really enjoy it. Sandler fans you are here by notified that Adam is back in full force in Little Nicky. It is the extremely bizarre yet tremendously funny story of the son of the devil on a quest to save his father from his own half brothers. While devotees will rejoice, those that don't like Sandler's other body of work might as well pass on this one as well. When you are the son of the devil there are certain things that are expected of you, not the least of which is that you will be evil. Little Nicky (Sandler) is different however, very different. You see Nicky is not only the youngest of Satan's (Harvey Keitel) three children, but because his mother is a real angel, the only "nice" sibling. When his evil brothers go to earth in an attempt to overtake their father's throne, Nicky is the only one left to stop them. Is he nasty enough to take on his brothers? Add a star-studded cast that includes Patricia Arquette, Jon Lovitz, Rodney Dangerfield and others and you have a comedy that's funnier then He… well you get the point. Presented in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound, this soundtrack has a few real moments where is truly shines. Want a track that really rocks this world and the nether world? Try track 16 Showdown in Central Park, that should do it. Video is a very subjective thing, and New Line has always scored high with their Platinum Series DVDs. This one only falls short when you compare it to the best that New Line has to offer, with only the slightest artifacting and noise visible in the darkest scenes. Are you looking for extras? Well this one has them, from a commentary by Adam Sandler and Director Steven Brill to a slue of never before available deleted scenes. I mean really how can you say anything bad about extras that have interviews with Ozzy Osbourne, Gene Simmons, and Ronnie James Dio, but for more on that you are just going to have to watch. If there is a special place for comedians in Hades, then Adam Sandler will be there and more then likely spend at least part of the time sitting on the right hand of the throne. The throne of comedy hell is of course reserved for Adams co-star Rodney Dangerfield. Even burning for all eternity, he gets no respect…or does he?Read full review
Not playable. Disc was all scratched up as well as the case being in rough shape. The "VERY GOOD" description couldn't be further from the right one. Could have been a mistake but it's what I got.

Little Nicky is a highly enjoyable comedy for people who love Sandler. If you're not a huge Sandler fan you might not enjoy it as much! Not one of my favorite Sandler films but it packs a lot of laughs. Sandler is great in this movie and Satans wickedly simple son. Little Nicky is packed full of laughs and will be enjoyed by all Sandler fans. Final Verdict: 4/5 Rent or Buy?: Only a must buy if you're a huge Sandler fan.
