    time period

    Link Wray is like a modern day Jeff Beck. What you need to do is hold it all in perspective as to what was being played back then,& how advanced guitar music has come since then. The only shredders back then were flaminco guitar players, & psycologically, minds were just starting to become imaginatively free. So don't expect that Link Wray trumped everything that is done today..............but, the attitude was there. And after all, what is rock&roll, if not attitude
