At first glance this book is perfect. The same book as the expensive university edition, but without the rediculess huge margin, but looking closely one notice that some letters are stretched slightly. Onces you reach page 110 real problems start. The whole page have been misplaced in what I assume must be a photocopier, and therefore you will not be able to read the page. Overall being a poor student Id probably prefer saving some cash getting this than the expensive one sold at the University.
I wish the book was larger and contained better explanations and more examples. You will most likely need to rely heavily on your professor because the book just doesn't quite explain everything.
I bought this book for my Linear Algebra class. I don't know who explained the material worse, the book or the teacher. The writer skips several steps in his examples, what little examples he gives, and forces all types of new language without explaining himself. Terrible book to be used for any class
Even though he does a good job explaining the terms and the ideas, he's got way too many proofs. He could have done as good a job without so many proofs. In my opinion, look somewhere else for an intro linear algebra book.
