I am a medical professional and have used the regular gait belts with many patients. However, when my own sister fell and needed assistance, the gait belts they were using were not comfortable for her and there was not an easy way to get ahold of the belt without causing her more pain and she never felt secure. I purchased one of these and tried it on myself and my husband could pick me straight up off the floor, without causing any discomfort and I felt very secure. It is easy to get on and off; buckles like a seat belt and is adjustable for a variety of sizes! And, two or more people could easily assist the individual!

I was not able to lift a person with mobility issue until I purchased this Gait Belt. This lift belt works wonders. I wear this around my waist and the patient grabs onto the loops while I lift him from seated position using my entire body. When assisting patient at walking - I put this on the patient's waist for stability. Better than holding onto the patient's arm. Excellent built quality. Recommend highly.

This belt works well to assist in getting in and out of bed and some assisted walking. Had to get a soft cover however because of the roughness at strap attachments. Still would probably be fine for most users.

This belt is easy to use and exactly what I expected. The loops placed around it make it easy to use in any lift assist. The only down side would be it isn’t as flexible as the hospital type belts.
