I purchased these books to give as gifts but found myself wanting to read them first. I couldn't put them down. They're just simple 'in a nutshell' kind of books... They tell you in one sentence, things you should know or already knew and were just reminded, like these quotes from Volume III: #1253: "To help your children turn out well, spend twice as much time with them and half as much money." #1056: "Don't work for recognition, but do work worthy of recognition." I'm going to gently read these and THEN give them as gifts. They are good for any adult or young adult, either full of common sense or lacking it... Highly recommended!!
The advice entered is practical, thoughtful, sensible and brings out the best in us! I purchased 5 for gifts, caref ully chosen gifts as one piece of advice says not to gift people with ways to self improve! The little book is, however, a great conversation-starter.

Who hasn't wished, at one time or another, that Life had come with an "Instruction Book"? This is your chance! Had a smaller version - from a panty hose company - that got damaged. Was excited to find another one on ebay. Was pleased to see it had like 500 more thoughts to it - for a great price. This little book is great - to break the ice at a gathering or just to read on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
Great one liners that stand the test of time
