Lifeguard is yet another wild thriller from James Patterson and co-authored by Andrew Gross. The location this time is a Florida resort, the main character Ned Kelly is working as a lifeguard at the resort and meets the woman of his dreams. Ned's cousin convinces him to partake in $5 million robbery that goes wrong and thing only get worse. This thriller is fast paced and I found it to be an easy read. Again James Patterson doen't let his readers down. A very good book to read on the beach or pool side or it will keep you up all night.
Lifeguard - James Patterson My 2nd Patterson... Even BETTER than my first! This is my second Patterson novel, and I enjoyed it even more the than first (Beach Road). Lifeguard pulled me in, and kept me trapped in it's magic. I stayed up all night reading, I couldn't put "Lifeguard" down. I'm beginning to see why people throw Pattersons name in "The Best Author" debate. Not only are his novels exciting and full of mystery and suspense, but the short chapters make his novels extremely easy to read. Lifeguard is no exception. It starts with a bang, and ends with an all-out 4th of July fireworks display. Great characters, better story, and tons of twists and turns. Final Verdict: 5/5 Borrow or Buy?: This is a book I borrowed, and is now on my must buy list. If you're looking for a good mystery/suspense novel, this one belongs on your bookshelf.Read full review
Ned Kelly had the lazy, fun job of being a lifeguard. He meets a beautiful woman. A perfect score until she was murdered. In the meantime, Ned's cousins were preparing for a heist. Ned went along for his share of the booty. Everything goes wrong. Ned the lifeguard becomes a side-line detective. Running for his life, trying to solve more murders, and meeting another lovely detective. This is a rapid moving plot full of mystery, threat, and the suspense is on every page. Only Patterson can write the ending. Not even the reader can guess this one. Jump on board for the ride of your life.
I love to read mystery books and Patterson is one of the best authors of mysteries. The short chapters seem to fly by and keep you wondering who done it. There wasn't a thing wrong with the book but maybe it was too short because I didn't want it to end. I have read a lot of his books so when I saw it on e-bay I decided to get it and I'm glad I did. It's a great book and how much easier can it be but to have it delivered to my door?
I decided to buy Lifeguard to further increase my James Patterson collection. I thought that it was a pretty good book. It was better than most of Patterson`s non-Alex Cross books with it`s great twists and turns in the latter part of the book that will have you hooked and reading into the end. I highly recommend it to everyone.
