This is one of the lightest and most compact scopes ever made. The CDS dial along with the Wind Plex reticle make it quick and easy to make accurate shots on game out to 500+ yards. I wish Leupold had not discontinued these! They do offer the VX-3 in the same size package (2.5-8x33), but the only way to get a CDS dial on it would be to order direct from Leupold's custom shop or have one added later for $90. So you're stuck paying full retail for the VX-3, but for anyone wanting a compact scope with a little bit nicer glass than the VX-2 its a good option. Its amazing how much smaller these scopes are compared to the 3-9s. On paper its only about an inch but in person there is a huge difference. Perfect match for my muzzleloader and my lightweight 20" barreled Model Seven.

This is my third Leupold and my second VX-II 2-7x33. Hard to beat the VX-II series scopes for medium range hunting rifles. They are durable and can withstand the recoil of higher power, large caliber rifles. Glass is clear and it lets in plenty of light, even in low light situations.
The Leupold VX-II 2-7x33 is simply a great US Made Rifle Scope. They are unsurpassed in durability and lifetime guarantee. Mine has functioned flawlessly as designed and intended. You will never be disappointed with any of their products.
