You just can't beat the quality of Leupold for the price. I mounted this scope on a ruger m77 in .243. I can easily and clearly see 2 1/2" diameter targets at 200+ yds. It's great for an afternoon of shooting without making my eyes tired. I Would highly recommend this scope to any one who wants crystal clear quality optics that won't break the bank.

I have wanted this scope since they were first introduced, it is a brilliant design which helps you keep from lifting your cheek and eye when sighting in at the range or in the field. It increases the light gathering ability of the scope while dropping your line of sight compared to 40 mm objective lenses. Lifetime warranty...what more can you ask for? I have owned Zeiss and feel that for the money this is a better value. I like everything about it and have no dislikes, only wish I could have bought 2 at the same time.
This is the fourth one of these scopes that I have purchased and I plan to purchase another one or two. I have these on several rifles that I use for hunting in the USA as well as in Africa. They perform extremely well in a wide variety of conditions. Several of the people I hunt with has also used them on my rifles and are also purchasing them for their own use.
Why did I buy this product? Because of the well known name and quality guarantee that comes with it. What do I like and dislike about the product? I like the clarity and low profile. I don't like having to remove the scope rings to dismount it from the base. How does this product compare to others? Maintaining quality and ensuring a standard that come with a made in the USA stamp. It can only be Great.
The Leopold vx3L was discontinued but was pleased with the VX3i
