I love this rangefinder. It has very bright, light gathering optics for low light conditions. It is far brighter than the 2 Nikon Archers Choice range finders I own. But best of all it is very precise in ranging exactly what I have the reticle on. And it does look through small obstacles such as grass or tiny branches and only gives me the range to the target I am aiming at, not small stuff in between me and the target. I was very frustrated with the Nikons giving me false readings as it picked up closer tiny objects I couldn't even see. Especially the more expensive Archers Choice Max. The Nikons would also pick up closer objects that were just outside the reticle that I was not even aiming at. Cost me more than one miss at deer and elk. Sent the Max back to Nikon for a fix and they said it was working fine. That was the last straw. My brother had the Leupold RX-1000 TBR so I compared it with my Nikons and it wasn't even close. The Leupold is far superior. I paid less for this Leupold than I paid for the Archers Choice Max. 3 years ago. Wish I had found this Leupold a lot sooner.Read full review

Purchased this rangefinder for what I thought was a great deal! Wrong! The most important part of this equipment the readout is burnout along the edges. Seller claim in his words this is perfect like new condition. Free of any notice that the image inside the rangefinder was faded and very hard to see especially out doors. Waiting for eBay to step in. Guess will see

Having previously used a Bushnell Scout 1000 rangefinder, I was not expecting to be amazed by the features of the Leupold. Boy, was I in for a shock! The first thing I noticed was how compact this was. The photos really do not do it justice. For such a small rangefinder, it felt surprisingly robust. The illuminated display works superbly, and has 3 levels of adjustment. Ranging speed is top notch, and ranging accuracy is very accurate. Some people have commented that it would be better if it ranged further - not a problem I have encountered. 800M ranging of a grassy hillside next to a deer was more than I ever hoped for with such a small hand held unit. The optics are as you would expect from Leupold - crisp and clear. The 6 x magnification gives a good compromise of field of view and magnification. The TBR mode I used was Basic, and range and angle calculations matched my ballistic computer. Couldn't ask for more than that.Read full review
I purchased this range finder for Elk Hunting. I like everything about this product. You can literally take it out of the box, put in the supplied batttery & start using it. It ranges faster than the last Leupold rangefinder I had. Digital operation & optics are better & the TBR feature is as good as it gets. I never thought I would get so much use & enjoyment out of a rangefinder. Even better, it helped me kill another elk this year. Anyone that has used Leupold products knows their quality & there is no exception here. Definitely worth the investment.
Very happy with this rangefinder. Quick target acquisition. I have ranged rocks and trees at 850 yards. A little learning curve to switch back and forth between different features so you would want to play with it before taking it out hunting. The size is perfect for me. Not too big or small. Fits right into a pants pocket so I always have it ready when bow hunting. I would buy it again if I had to.
