First off, don't not buy this because it's not 'tactical.' This scope is amazing. I use a Trijicon ACOG at work, own a reflex, and have an Aimpoint M2 on the way. With that said, they are all great optics. However, this one is unique and hosts a variety of uses. With scope caps, this guy is going to be an awesome hunting optic for quick acquisition in thick terrain. Secondly, a lot of people get scared seeing that it's a 14mm objective. Let's clear something up. You have just as much view or more then a 40mm objective at 3x. The 1x with a 14mm objective is a lot bigger then you are imagining, at least, that's what I was thinking. Then, I went and saw one at my local gun shop. I was blown away by the clarity of the glass, the low light reticule to very bright reticule levels are awesome. NOT TO MENTION, you do not need light to have a reticule! Talk about fail safe for those who leave their optics on all the time. Overall, great scope. Yeah, there are no cool magnifiers available. Are you really going to use one? If so, don't buy one. If you are not, I highly recommend you look into buying one. Keep checking here on ebay because I found a disgusting deal on mine. I love it! Good luck with your choice.Read full review
Leupold makes some of the best optics available. The prismatic feature is great.

If you need a fixed, 1x optic this Leupold is for you. Etched aim point in the glass is visible without battery power.

Leupold quality. You either like or dislike the Prismatic. I happen to like it. And for me, too bad it isn't no longer made.
