i have retired my custom made 12 degree driver after hitting this driver. I had the custom driver made for me because I couldn't get an acceptable launch angle with the R7 I had been using. The custom club helped on the launch angle but cost me tons of distance, so I shopped Ebay for a driver that would help solve my problems. The Titleist driver is a dream come true! It solved both my launch angle and distance problems. My custom club even had a $95 senior shaft (this one is "R"). The Titleist sounds great, feels great, and delivers where it counts!! Some say that a mid handicapper can't use a Titleist driver , that they are made for low-handicap players. They couldn't be more wrong! Low handicap players use them because they perform as advertised!!

I have returned here to this review after being with this driver for about 10 months. In my first review, I questioned just about everything that I could think of. Even though I have followed Titleist since the days of 975d, I really had to allow this driver to prove itself to me before coming back here. I didn't jump on the 909 bandwagon just because everyone else did, I preferred the 907d1 myself. The 910d2 10.5* with a Miyazaki 43r - 7511 49" shaft has been on this head just about from day one. I soon sold the ilima 61r because, this Miyazaki shaft has my swing preference written all over it. Much like the NVS55r did with my 907d1. To me, this is a targeted fairway driver. When I am playing a course that requires accurate placement, distance control & flight trajectories off the tee box, I cannot think of a better driver (based on my limited non-polished golf skills) to pull it off than my 910d2. I myself, am not looking to be the longest in the group but, to be the most consistent, in the fairway and being where I want to be off the tee box is my game plan during a round. I average about 14 opportunities during the typical round where driving off the tee box needs to count for maximum effectiveness. I have to have a very forgiving driver to be able to keep a round pleasant. The face off the head of my 910d2 is absolutely forgiving beyond justifications. I know that many drivers rave about being forgiving, and I thought that my 907d1 was very forgiving, however, this is truly, one giving driver that I have ever swung. Yes, the right shaft has a lot to do with it too, but, for the impact off the face, the distance rewarded, there is nothing to complain about here. I have not needed to do the manual adjusting with every thought of adjust here, there and back here again...I have it set on a closed face to adjust for my 3* open tendencies and she just performs really well. Even with my default 10.5* loft set to 12* of loft, the flight is just wonderful to behold. Yes, once again, the shaft has a lot to do with that too. The one thing that I have to mention, is that having this size driver head, I really need to tee it up as high as I can go. Anywhere below the lower section of the head will still be straight, but not as long & hot. I think that Titleist still has the last good looking heads on the market. Every time I try to open myself up to other drivers, the gawd awful graphics is just a turn off. This driver provides that feel of compression of the golf ball at impact. Just about all Titleist drivers has been that way for the exception of the 909 in my view. It is that nano second of feedback off the face that provides the moment of happiness that you have hit it well. I have had no regrets of this purchase of the 910d2. I have returned to let you all know that Titleist did good with this model.Read full review
I’ve always been a Taylor Made metal wood player ever since R7 was first launched. Prior to that, I’ve played with Callaway equipment. Somewhere between R7 and R7 425 model, I did try Titleist 905R for a few months but I prefer slight open club face of R7 TP version verses square lie of Titleist. Then, 910 D series with adjustable lie angle was introduced and I had to try. My latest driver was TM R9 Superdeep face TP driver with -1.5 degree open face angle to avoid drawing too much. I started with loft adjustment first on 9.5 degree driver starting with 8.75 and 10.25 degree loft. Since the head isn’t hot melt, most likely it was somewhere 10 degree even though it says it is 9.5 due to manufacturing tolerance. I settled with + 0.75 degree higher which seems to give higher launch with more spin. Then I tried to adjust the lie angle. First it was closed to +0.75 and open to -0.75. I think the standard lie is at slightly open rather than square. Possibly -0.5 degree range since open of -0.75 seems to provide slight fade shot which wasn’t possible with TM driver unless I go with -1.5 degree open face. I finally settled with C4 setting on the driver and the most of the time, I play with a slight fade with carry of about 250 yards. It rolls about 10 to 15 yards when I play fade so it is satisfactory. When I draw it, it has nice right to left ball flight with much more roll. At 9.5 degree loft, it rolls much more but I tend to hook more which can be vicious at times. With a full adjustability, Titleist 910 series is an excellent choice for players to adjust to suit their ball flight based on loft and lie angle adjustment. Only down side to the current market is the shaft adaptor availability to use a different shaft combination. I have several different shafts I like to use but I cannot purchase a spare adaptor like on TM R9 or R11 product. Some aftermarket adaptor is available on eBay but not sure about quality and few OEM available are very expensive. A great driver for a 10 handicap or less and player wannabe shooting 15 over can experiment without much hassle. The face hot spot is smaller than TM or Callaway with less lively sound on off centered hits. The current Titleist players using 983K to 907D should try at all cost. Newer model of Titleist players may want to keep it until 712 model comes out or try TM R11 for a change.Read full review
im the kind of guy that like to buy new equipment every 2-3 years.i just love the hole prosess of finding new clubs that looks and feels great, taking them to the range and fall in love all over again, awesome! i allways use golf digest "hot list"as a guideline and they never steered me wrong.as much as i loved my previous driver a taylormade R9 460 i noticed the great rewievs the titleist 910 D2 and D3 has gotten the last couple of years and i just couldnt resist... AND BOY AM I GLAD IM SUCH A WEAK PERSON HAHAHA! i bought the 910 D2 for a great price on ebay without even trying it first and its just a fantastic club!! its beautiful,it sounds great and its LONG!! i gained 20-25 yards compared to my old driver.the surefit tour hosel is easy to understand and easy to adjust, play around with it on the range and find out what suits your game.i ended up with the C3 position and man that ball flies! my only advice to anyone who wants to buy this great driver is to do some research on the many shaft options, this is very important.if you had a driver with a shaft that worked for you, start there and try to find something simular.weight,flex,torque,kickpoint.. getting these things right can make the diference from the driver beeing good to beeing fantastic.i have had a few drivers in the 10 years ive played golf so i knew what i was looking for.im a 9 hcp and drives the ball about 280 yds and i ended up with one of the stock options, the "mitsubishi rayon diamana ilima 61" shaft in stiff flex.its a great shaft for me,i like the lighter shafts and this one is about 58 grams with a mid to high ballflight, just perfect. so find a shaft that suits your game, buy this awesome driver and just ENJOY the wonderful game of golf. regards HenningRead full review
I like the ability to change loft and lie. One course I play requires a hi fade on most holes, while another course requires a lower draw. I can also quickly switch between a stiff flex and regular flex shaft depending on how well my back feels that day.
