This book was described as suitable for beginners with no prior programming experience. That is just not true. It starts off talking about what I think are the basic elements of the language, but doesn't define any of the terms used and immediately uses them in what look like pretty complex examples (including other unidentified parts). I tried reading the first chapter 3 times, couldn't make sense of it at all. I am using a different book plus the W3C tutorials to learn instead, may or may not come back to this once I understand the basics. For a complete novice (I know XHTML and CSS well, but no programming), this book is useless.
