this book gives great summaries/excerpts of significant cases (usually 2-3 pages each) all organized by different economic principles, in order of how those principles have developed over time. Following each case, there are a few more pages of analysis of the importance and implications of the decision, economic analysis, and questions to consider. I am taking a law and economics class now, and this book is the best supplement to the course. No background knowledge is required to understand it (not too much jargon, explains everything well) but it is certainly detailed in the analysis so that you will get a comprehensive understanding of the cases and laws.
