This is an excellent western film, in its own right. It is a great sequel to Lonesome Dove. Plenty of action and drama to keep you into the whole movie. I love James Garner, and Robert Duvall even had a short cameo appearance. The Mexican boy killer was a very interesting kid. I give it a strong 4.

The movie starts out engaging and interesting. Some great actors. But at the end McMurtry created a stupid senseless ending. I "pulled the plug" before the ending, seeing this as a waste of 4 hours.

Great Sequel to one of the best mini-series ever. Picking up some 15 years after Lonesome Dove this is a take no prisoners tale. Rough, violent and cruel as the west actually was in the late 1800's. James Graner turns in a good performance as always. If you liked "No Country for Old Men" this is your western.

Overall not a bad series! I must admit, after seeing the series "Lonesome Dove" with Tommy Lee Jones as Captain Woodrow Call and Diane Lane as Lorena it was a different show without them. It did not seem like a continuance of Lonesome Dove, rather a show all it's own. James Garner and Sissy Spacek did an excellent job. The movie states that Call traveled south after losing his son, however this moment never played out in the movie, it leaves you wondering what happened to Newt.
Streets of Loredo. Good story, good acting (one of James Garners best I think), good (or bad) characters. I had to search for this one, I wish someone would re-master the video.
