Bought this for Geology 204 Lab. It is a must have for reference/flow charts/diagrams of material you will cover in a entry level geology course with a lab. with lecture and lab combo you need both the lecture text AND this lab manual. wouldn't attempt it with just one or the other. I didn't like that there seemed to be some disconnects between the lecture text "GEOLOGY" ... and the lab book could use more examples of rock types labeled with the rock names for a context but then I guess that would give away the answers you are searching for too much, at times.
I bought this along with "Earth" by Dennis Tasa, Edward J. Tarbuck, Frederick K. Lutgens (2007)For my Geology 101 class. It seems to have a lot of information to walk you through your lab assignments. We just started working out of the lab book this week, so I guess we will have to wait to see. So far so good.
The book is a great reference source for needed material in any geology class... i purchased rhe manual for a geology classm the price was awesome..
purchased for my dau. for her required lab science course of geology. have not read it nor has she discussed it with me. what I liked? fairly fast service and concierably less expensiove than at the college bookstore.
Book purchased for my son's college class. Must be OK since it's a required book. Can't say much more since I'm not taking the class.
