Great r7 black superquad head, maybe best TM ever made (not counting the newer adjustable adapter style). The NV shaft is a good shaft...however the Stiff rating on this shaft is not stiff in comparison to the stock shaft (fujikura stiff), so tho the NV is a quality shaft it does not suite me. So, easy fix, I pull the head and install a new shaft of my liking. So still happy to own an additional TM R7 black superquad driver head!!!

I actually have 3 different r7 drivers and to tell you the truth there is very minimal difference in all. The weight system does make a little difference but most r7s including the: 460, Quad and SuperQuad, are basically the exact same head. As most know, these days it's all about the shaft, not the clubhead. Taylor Made does make some of the best clubs in the world, no doubt about it, hell I own 3...make that 4, I still have my old ti-Bubble 2. I would like to repeat, that I heard the r9s are having issues with head oscillation so that makes the SuperQuad the top dog unless they get the r9s fixed. My recommendation, buy a superquad, take it to a good shop, have them set it up and get a good shaft.
I needed to spend more time working on my swing with this club, but it just wasn't working out too well... I went back to my old R7 Draw driver and I felt more comfortable. My brother in law is using the R7 superquad and he really likes it and has been crushing drives all over the place with it, so I know it's a very good club... I'm not not good enough to take full advantage... I shoot in the low 90's.
This is the best driver I have ever had. It is easy to hit and I can be very accurate with it. I put an upgraded shaft in the driver and made the shaft an inch longer than standard, this gave me greater distance without loosing control. The only advice I would give is to make sure you but a driver that offers the wrench or buy one seperately with a good buy. After seeing the problems that the Pro's are having with the R11"s I would highly recommend anyone purchasing at a much cheaper rate the R7 SuperQuad!
This has to be without doubt one of the best and easiest Drivers to use that TaylorMade has ever produced. The feel and balance is excellent, it gives accuracy as well as great distance with the bonus of weight change through the four weight ports etc. It allows for a varity of positions which can cater for many golfers as we all have unique styles. WELL DONE TAYLORMADE...IF YOU CAN FIND A GOOD CONDITION ONE, PRICE IS A SECONDARY CONCERN TO HAVING A CLUB THAT WILL GIVE ENJOYMENT AND SCORING RESULTS OFF THE TEE.....
