There are many mixed experiences about this product which made me hesitant to buy one. However, I can tell you that it is slightly heavy, but it is probably no heavier than a typical window A/C unit. It does come with casters for easy movement from room to room. This unit has a detachable remote control; very user friendly the kids figured it out in no time! Unit is set up in a bedroom about 200sqft and brought the temp down from 79 to 70 in about an hour! It has a large blue temp easy to read multipe options, fan, cool, dehumidify. It can be set to go off at a specific time or at a specific temp. It has both C and F readings. Easy set up, took less than 10 minutes from box to cool! Overall a great buy! I now wish I would have gotten the bigger model to really chill!
I tried to use it the first time I turned it on and it just blows hot air a friend thinks the compressor is bad but it DOES NOT blow cool air. I am really upset about this.

I bought this for my 400 square foot bedroom suite as the room becomes hot from 2-5pm when it gets the hot sun. I heard the smaller BTU units are quieter so I chose the 7000 BTU model. It has been perfect for my needs. I just keep it under my window and hook it up as needed. It looks nice and cools the room. It is a little loud, but not so much when the fan is on low. I would recommend it for a large closed off room like mine.
This was a really great purchase. It is not as quiet as I would like to have the device, but it does provide a lot of cold air, dehumidifying, and even a fan. The set up was easy, and it does roll smoothly. The tubing as flexible, but not as flexible as I would like. You need to crimp or curl it to your design to make it adjust to sending the hot air out the window or into a another room. Overall a really good purchase.
This 7000 BTU unit cools my computer room in no time. The room is 10' x 12' with 10' celing and typically would run in the mid 80's with central A/C set at 75 degrees for the whole house. At any given time I have 3 computers processing video files and they produce a lot of heat. I installed the portable air conditioner and withing 30 to 60 minutes brings the temperature down to 75 degrees. I now put the central air on 78 for the rest of the house.
