Phone is nice looking and easy to navigate. It is an unlocked AT&T phone and I am using with T-Mobile service. It takes a little bit of configurations for picture messaging and t-zones to function, but it was very easy thanks to the T-Mobile website along with Tmoatt.com which I had found from a search. They give you step by step instructions on how to configure phone settings to work properly! Phone itself is a little bit smaller than I thought with small QWERTY buttons but no biggie for me. Also, be aware the touch screen function is for phone dialer only and QWERTY is the only texting feature! Overall, very pleased!
The LG Neon is a great entry touch screen phone. Has all the functions and options of a higher end phone, but costs significantly less. Touch screen is good, but is only used for dialing phone numbers. You cannot text with it. The keypad is great, well spaced, and easy to type. ( I have big fingers). Battery life lasts a few days. Screen resolution is a bit poor. Call quality is also good. I give it a 4/5. Thanks
I bought the Neon for the slide out QWERTY because the keys were bigger than my Samsung Strive. I was really happy with the size of the keys, much easier to be accurate and faster, especially with fingernails. And some of the symbol options and placement of the keys were more functional than my old phone. What I don't like about it, actually hated so much that I gave the Neon to my husband and went back to my Samsung, is that the front keys are touch screen. It was really difficult to navigate through a phone menu when you have to push 1, push 2, etc. I would activate the touch screen, touch 1, and if I did not turn the screen back off, my face would touch other numbers and make an "invalid selection". It was making me crazy until I figured out that I needed to turn it back off. Also, the touch screen didn't respond to my fingernails very well, which are long, so it was difficult to push the correct buttons with the whole of my finger. The phone is a little generic, but is a good one if you text alot and don't mind the touch screen on the front.I think regular push button features on the front would make it better though and more user-friendly.Read full review
I have had this phone for about a year now. And have discovered several problems with it but first the pro's of this phone... Pros: 1. Qwerty keyboard is okay and buttons are decent size. 2. Capable of writing up to 10 pages of text not just 160 characters 3. Calling quality is pretty clear when it connects Cons: 1. It takes two tries to call someone sometimes. The call just will not go through the fist time. 2. When writing a message and you receive one while you are writing. The cursor will move to random places and put characters in the wrong places. 3. It has a very limited memory capacity for messages. 4. My phone randomly shut off when the battery is less the half drained. In the middle of a text the screen will just go black. My advice would be to not buy this phone unless it is your only option. It has to many problems and the cons out way the pros.Read full review
Pros: Cute, slide phone, touchscreen (limited), full qwert keyboard, awesome price. Cons: Charging issues, awkward keyboard/stiff buttons, annoying delay, problem sending/receiving picture messages (Which may be only because I am on the TMOBILE network and this phone is for At&T!) My solution: I exchanged my phone for a new one, and my charge holds for about 12 hours now, which I think I might find an issue with later on. I still can not receive/send picture messages though. Keep in mind: I spend around 3 hours talking, and send+receive around 70 texts a day. I don't live with my phone attatched to me, but I don't neglect my phone either. Also: If you have the TMOBILE network & you want this phone (Which is AT&T), DO NOT pay to have someone unlock it. Just get the IMEI number & Call AT&T and a nice lady/gentleman will do it for free!Read full review
