A good amount of features, fantastic picture (what blu ray player doesn't lol). I received mine for a very good deal $80 shipped (open box). I would say any price under $100 in 2011 is a good price for this unit. The display on the player itself is plain, not a huge deal. It has Netflix and other net content via netcast. I think blu-ray players with extra net features are the future. Net boxes will become more and more popular I'm sure, and of course, less expensive. I have only had the unit a few days, but so far so good. Plays net content well including full 1080p via Vudu. Netflix plays great as well. I have read a few complaints about this unit not playing net content well. Many people that own technology blame the wrong parts of the puzzle. If someone is having movie streaming issues it is most likely their service provider, not this player. LG did well on this one. I rate it good because I don't know many to compare with. If you are looking for a player with nice extras like netflix and more, I'd say this would be a good choice.Read full review
I previously owned a Magnovox (sp?) Blu Ray player that I got on sale at Wal Mart. This LG product blew that player out of the water! The Netflix ability, the photos that can be viewed from a USB thumb drive or connector to the camera, the basic ease of use and, to me, young children friendliness. The USB connector is "hidden" so that dust does not make itself at home, the buttons are also "hidden" for playing and stopping the movie, which helps me when my back is turned to my children. Do not get me wrong, I have never lost a mechanical device to my children, but I think broader. How many children like to push, pull, grab, and mess with anything they see an adult touching? Lots! And just the way this product is put together is a saving grace. Ease of use of the remote, is very good. Ease of use for a first time user who is loathe to read the instruction manual, is very very good. I expect the only reason I would get a new blu ray player, will be through LG and would have wifi. That is likely the only reason I would rid myself of this little purchase. :)Read full review
It is a solid player with hardwired ethernet and HDMI. No WiFi, but we didn't want that because coverage in our house isn't that great even with extenders. Direct ethernet connection is so much more stable. This was an exact replacement for a malfunctioning unit. We didn't want to invest in a newer, more expensive model as most of them only come with WiFi. We rarely use DVDs or Blu-Ray disks these days. But we have a few good disks that we held on to for sentimental reasons, and it's nice to be able to play them!

This is a good product it has all the great features of a Blue Ray player of all the great brands but I think it is not excellent because: A) It doesnt have WI-FI B) It doesnt support AVI or DIVX files C) You cant play AVCHD files from your external drive, so you would have to burn it. The Image quality is excellent, the sound is also great, and it is very user friendly.
This is my third blu-ray player. I like the extended number of widgets available for streaming over the net. The front panel controls are clean and non obtrusive. Power and open/close are all that are needed anyway. The picture and sound are excellent as with most blu-ray players. I like the audio pass through feature via HDMI. I wish this player had a usb media port and a toslink audio out port. Still, for the price it's fine.
