I bought this because none of my "smart" TV's will play the .ts files produced by WinTV 8 on my desktop. I tried converting them to mp4 and playing them direct to my TV's but none would play smoothly. I decided to try one of the .ts files on my LG620 and it played perfectly. Yay!!! I called LG support to see what other LG players could handle the .ts files and they said this one would. So I bought it. Works perfectly. Don't know whether is good on blu-ray's as I never rent them anymore. I have not found a Blu-ray disk yet from RedBox that will play all the way through on any of my Blu-Ray players. One being the LG620. I'm blaming the disks not the player. I'm sticking with DVD's. They are a more solid technology.

Overall it's not bad...the only thing I don't like about it is that while playing it makes a clicking noise which is annoying when trying to watch a movie! If not for that I would give 4 stars****

I have tried several of the more well know inexpensive Blu-Ray players, and I personally think this particular player (LG BD670) is the best. The main reason for that statement is that it plays more formats than any of the rest (my opinion). If one processes their own video clips/movies (using the correct blank media) you just can't beat this player for the price. With internal WIFI, 3D, and numerous APPS it is a super buy. I have personally purchased four of these (2 for me and 2 for my GF). All but the original were used and purchased on E-bay. In addition, I have purchased a couple of players for parts. My only problem with this player...it is not very well made. Simple internally but the piece parts break down pretty easily. Obviously, I would recommend this particular player even with the manufacturing quality shortcomings.Read full review
I have an old tv only for series and films in 4:3 format, the images and sound is awesome!!! overall I'm extremely satisfied Pros: DivX HD support. easy setup, easy interface, great image quality. built-in wireless. Cons: Component video output no upscaling at 1080p. is a little slow.

Unit works great! It even has a zoom feature, which is difficult to find on DVD players.
