The phone itself is great, but as is common with buying used phones, the battery didn't hold a charge all too well...

I've had this phone with Virgin Mobile for about 2.5 months now. I am super happy with the service but NOT my phone choice.. PROS: *Pretty inexpensive ; we bought our phones new at Walgreens for $15. *Very simple features, easy to navigate menus *Nice bright display - the screen makes a good flashlight. *Very long battery life; I only have to charge this thing every few days and it charges up really quickly. *Slim and very lightweight. I can hardly tell it's in my pocket. *Seemingly durable. I've dropped it a few times and it never comes apart (with battery sliding across the floor as with other phones) and it has hardly a scratch on it. CONS: *Small screen - text and caller ID display in pretty tiny font.. not great for anyone who has to use reading glasses to read. *The keypad does not always lock! This was a big issue for me.. if you are reading a text message and fail to return to the home screen, the keypad WILL NOT LOCK. The only time the keypad will lock after the display dims is when you are on the home screen. I have pocket dialed so many people because of this. The same thing will happen if you receive a text message before the keypad locks automatically and don't read it right away.. *The notifications don't always work properly. Right now, my phone is telling me I have one new text message. I have NO new messages. I have scanned through my saved texts many, many times and do not see a new one. I even deleted all my conversations and it still says I have one unread text. Frustrating. *When the voicemail icon is displayed, you will not get a new notification if you receive a second message. I had three people call me, and leave messages, but the phone made it appear that only the first person left a message. When I checked them, there were 3 new messages. *This is not a camera phone, so obviously you cannot send picture texts, but you also cannot RECEIVE picture texts. The biggest frustration regarding this is that the phone will not notify you that you ever received a text (such as, a text saying "unable to display photo"). If a friend sends me a picture text, I have no idea they ever tried to do so. *After just 2.5 months, the phone is already malfunctioning and I haven't been rough on the phone. It will randomly turn off in my pocket. Sometimes the display screen will never time out and I have to restart the phone. Sometimes the phone won't vibrate even though it is set to vibrate. Other times it works perfectly. A bit frustrating. Even if the malfunctions are due to my phone being a lemon and a fluke, the other issues with features is enough for me not to recommend this phone. There are other, inexpensive phones that would work much better.Read full review
So far, so good. Works great, decent camera, good sound.

Excellent phone for the person who wants a slimline phone with the basics. No frills, but I wanted an easy to use phone that's inexpensive. I have 3 of these with different numbers which makes it easy to use for a person who is not into advanced smart phones.
