My fiancee and I play this together, and we have a lot of fun mindlessly destroying things (and each other) but are also challenged by the simple puzzles; the team work aspect with most of the puzzles makes it a great game for two people. My biggest qualm is the annoying platforming, jumping from one small ledge to another and whatnot, it gets pretty frustrating. I play Devil May Cry 3 and 4 which both have a fair amount of puzzles and platforming, and never seem to have a problem, but when it comes to Lego Indy... wow. Besides that, it's a good game, especially if you have somebody to play with! I imagine it's probably good for kids and parents to play together too, for what it's worth.
Lego Indiana Jones, like Lego Star Wars is a fun cheeky take on known franchises. The funny cut-scenes between levels and the lack of voices on any of the characters makes for some laughs. The levels themselves are meant to be played multiple times, there are many puzzles and lots of hidden items, there is a high replay value to the game. I just hope they don't release a sequel to this game and then do a third game that has both the first and second game mashed together...like they did with Star Wars...feels kinda like double dipping. Highly recommended for kids, adults may enjoy it as well because of the humor and cheeky nature of the game. Recommended for as cheap as it is now.
If you are a fan of the Lego Star Wars games, you will love this game. Same idea but set to the first 3 Indiana Jones movies than Star Wars movies. In Lego Star Wars, you start the game in the bar from Star Wars number 4 ( after you play the first chapter that is) and in Indiana Jones, you start at the college where Doctor Jones teaches at. It isn't as long as Lego Star Wars Complete Sega but it doesn't take anything from the game. There are 3 bonus levels you can play after you get all the artifacts from each chapter. I bought because i played both Lego Star Wars games and like what they did with the game play as well the controls which are not too messed up. I hope the Lego Batman game is the same as the other Lego games, great to play.
The game is a lot of fun. Great to play with a beginner gamer. My fiance didn't grow up with any video game systems, and she loved this game. Some parts were a little frustrating, like some of the jumps were a little difficult for her, but we got through it. I'd imagine this game would appeal to a lot of kids. Actually, if I was 15 years younger, I would LOVE this game. There's a lot of secret places and items to discover and unlock. This game definitely needs to be played more than once through. And the cut scenes are cute and funny, especially if you're a huge Indiana Jones fan (like myself). Fate of Atlantis is still my favorite Indiana Jones game, but this one is a lot of fun.
Lego should make a game for everything! This game is addicting just like Lego Star Wars! It's simple and easy to follow, you don't have be concerned about starting levels completely over if you die, just pick right back up where you left off. The only problem I see with the game is that the levels are a little bit longer than the levels in the Star Wars games (if you have played them), other than that I am highly pleased with this game and look forward to Lego Batman in the Fall. Like I said, all games should be Legos!
