Totally shattered my screen a few weeks ago and grabbed this replacement. Finally actually replaced it last night and this works beautifully. Comes with more than enough tools, I only needed to supply my own screw tray. Took maybe half an hour and a few youtube tutorials. Works perfectly, no complaints.

Screens are very difficult to replace because the old screen is glued onto the frame. You need to heat the screen to soften the glue enough to take off the screen and the glue, and then you need to glue in the new frame. It's very easy for this process to go wrong. Based on my experience fixing iPhone and iPod Touch screens, I'd say that this screen is not the greatest quality and thus makes it even easier for accidents to happen! I got this screen in okay but had some trouble getting it to sit flat in an area near the power button. As I was trying to massage the screen down gently, it cracked. I was surprised at how easily this happened, but nonetheless accepted responsibility for breaking it. The problem was that the screen worked for about 4 days but then suddenly went black and never returned to life. I don't know if this has anything to do with the crack. What I found, however, is that for someone like me (an experienced hobbyist), the screens that come already seated in a frame are much less trouble for around the same price. If you don't do phone repairs for a living, I'd recommend the screen in the frame because then the repair simply involves transplanting the phone's innards to the new frame - it took me 20 mins to do. I wanted to say "maybe" for the recommendations and quality because I don't know if I did something wrong that caused the screen to crack nor do I know if the fact that it died several days later had anything to do with my installation. Basically, this could be a case of user error. I do know that Nexus 5 screens are notoriously weak, so the problem could be a combination of user error and below average quality. Read full review

Nice digitizer BUT after 5 months of use the digitizer don't response to touch anymore. This is my second time now that the ebay digitizer looses it's response to touch with the Nexus 5. First supply lasted for 3 months and the second now for 5 months. I would not recommend these poor quality digitizers to anyone. I assume that these guys got these from the factory trash bin after they failed to pass the quality tests??

Item is as described, is functional and includes all tools, however the screen itself is very poor quality and is scratched and scuffed easily. For the price I was not expecting the original quality of gorilla glass, however it's almost impossible to maintain this screen without a good quality screen protector in top. Installation was fairly easy, but the screen had two gauges in it after only 48 hours of use, in a decent Spigen case. The screen does the job and works well, is just damaged easily.

This screen arrived with all the necessary pieces for changing it in my phone. Two things of note: there is no screen over the listening hole to keep your earwax from getting in to the hardware (I just substituted a small bit of clear tape). Also, there is no adhesive on the screen so you will have to source that elsewhere.
