Great book for young people, and adults. It's a good story, with suspense, plot, etc., but also educational. Gave good information on feral cats and the difference between feral cats and strays that have once lived with a family. Shows how much some people care about animals and the lengths they will go to to help save them. And may give people ideas they can personally use to help animals. Also warns people about animals that are not typical house cats, but may be wild. I bought it for my grandaughter, age 11, who is reading well above her grade level, and LOVES animals, especially cats. It seems like the reading level listed was about 5th grade, but even though it's easy reading, it would be good for older young people and their families to read.
