hopefully this is the final book where Richard screws up, because i got really sick of him long ago. when more bad vamps come to town, it takes the word orgy to whole new heights on how Anita and her harem conquer the bad guys, this being an orgy of power. but u r only as strong as ur weakest link, and to lose Richard may be the fianl straw to the empire her and Jean-Claude have fought so hard to build. it ends well, with of course an opening for the next novel, which i already can wait to read. if u love Anita and all her men, u will love the Harlequin! -mariah
I've been hooked on Anita Blake stories for a couple years now and this was another good one. I was happy to see Edward make another appearance, and Olaf (even if he is a psycho serial killer), but I'll admit, I'd have liked to have seen Edward play a more active role in the story. He totally needs to pull the flame thrower out! Don't stifle the man's creativity Laurell!
Great read, full of vampire and other demons
