The sharpener is designed for Kyocera ceramic knives. For the Kyocera knives I have it works great. If you try to sharpen any old knive that it is not designed for, it does not work very well. It is for Kyocera and that works great.

This is an expansive product. it's a shame it doesn't sharp the whole knife because the way it designed And you need skills to use it, if you hold the blade too close to the disk the engine stops working, it requires a very steady hands. If i knew that before I bought it- i wouldn't.

the "feel" is kind of cheap... "light" and not so impresive while using it (hear strange sounds, motor feels under powered) but in the end the knife gets sharper which is what matter!! I cannot say about how long it will last, i ve only had it for a few weeks, but so far so good..

Too wide and deep for small knives and , with long ones, you can only sharp half of it. Underpowered . Terrible.. If you claim refund you have to pay shipping cost to Japan. RUBBISH

It does an awesome job sharpening ceramic knives. I would highly recommend it to anyone who owns ceramic knives. Very easy to use, it's a no brainer.
