I like grinding my own coffee beans. I think it makes for a fresher tasting drink. The inside edge of the lid does tend to erode (chip) but that take a long time and is still useable for decades. The one these replaced developed an off centered cutting shaft, bearing wear I think. Of course it was twenty years old, still worked but was noisy. I bought two of these so they should keep me in fresh coffee until for the rest of my life. The new ones are JUNK. Love the ebay!!

I bought this as a replacement to a previous model that was accidentally broken. This arrived on time and as advertised. It picked up where the original left off. Works perfectly for small batch coffee grinding.

It's a little workhorse and the design is very pretty. Great for grinding coffee, spices, and flaxseed.
