Its not what I bought that I dislike, its what I sold. Where in a recession, buyers tend to be very cheap, and items are sold for less than they are really worth. Now is the time to buy cheap, but not sell. * The worst part is that Ebay charges 8% final listing fees on everything you sell. Its a ripoff! I do sales for a living, I get 6%, and I have to do everything. At 8%, Ebay should take pictures of your items and type the listing in for you. Did I mention the insertion fee on top of the 8%. Welcome to Craigslist!
I would imagine the facts are correct, but I was very disappointed to find that all or most of the illustrations were in black&white. Color is vital for identification purposes, not to mention aesthetics. It was probably a question of cost, since everything seems to boil down to money. Kovels' Know Your Antiques is nonetheless a reference book for me.
Know your antiques provides an accurate background regarding all the antiques mentioned and written about in this book.
