Like a lotta folks, I use dried seaweed sheets all the time in cooking, soups, sushi... so I am alwaays paying retail for ten sheets ofr so of this natural product. Might as well buy in bulk and save yourself some money across a year or two. Quality and taste are excellent, as is the packaging. No worries. RK Blake

I wish there were in between ratings, as the only definitive answer I have is "yes" on value. I would recommend it with caveats, as well as the quality choice. It has a stronger and little bit different flavor than I'm used to, but that's PERSONAL OPINION, as someone else might love the flavor! It's not quite as sturdy as others I've used, as well; has some holes in it and flakes off quite a bit, but I still like the idea of supporting a "family farming" operation as opposed to big corporate business, so would still probably buy again.

The algae tastes really good. It's One time I noticed a pig piece of plastic string in one of the sheets. Then I was paranoid that all the sheets I ate until then maybe had plastic netting and I ate it. Now I check every sheet before I eat it and every 3 sheets I find a piece of plastic string. Some are very fine - hair like. It happens as I rip the seaweed in smaller pieces. It would be great if someone would tell the manufacturer to be careful and make sure the algae is better filtered from nets and plastic. It's a shame as it tastes really nice. I'm not sure if I would buy again because I have to carefully watch out for every sheet.

If you are looking for the authentic sheets made of red algae genus Pyropia, you will not get that. These sheets are made of mix of seaweeds (brown, light green), broken in small pieces and then pressed and dried in sheets. The flavour is completely different from original nori sheet laver (these are bland and have pond smell). They will fall apart in flaky dust when tried to use it in anything. I even gave up on making sushi, so started to put it in soups. It does not stay in piece like proper sushi laver, this one literally melts and completely falls apart (in tiny seaweed flakes). You basically get a mush

A couple of days ago I was reading comments about this product and yes it has fishy smell more than other brands that I used to buy. But over all it is not that bad I will give this product 3.5 ⭐️ and my cat seams to like it too 😂
