Like: I gave it a good rating but I would give it and excellent rating on pictures and fairly good on the video. It is best to take pics in the program mode which allows you to use the more vivid color and sharpness modes. It will then give you excellent pictures. Camera is vg in low light. Focusing is excellent for pics. Color quality is very nice and has its own "signature". DISLIKE: Camera can take HD video. The colors remind me of some film cameras made in the 1950s. I did not like the colors from this as from some Panasonic cameras I am familar with. The videos seemed to lack depth and seemed very one dimensional. The camera did not maintain consistency in color between shaded and sunshine areas in the videos. The camera was supposed to shoot in stereo sound but I did not get anything but mono sound. The sound itself was recorded loud and muffled. Camera can use AA batteries but you better use fully chared rechargeable ones and take an extra set along. Probably better to use a CRV3 rechargeabke lithium but I cannot vouch that would work better than NIMH AA. If video is not that important and it is quality pics you want, then this is a camera to consider. It is possible I got a defective camera for video and audio on the video. I can recommend it for picsRead full review
this camera is i think kodaks top of the line.It rates a 9 with me for picture quality and most of all ease of use even with all of the great features it has.also works very well with kodaks easy share system.you dont even have to read the manual for most things.it is also very versitile in how you can share print or transport pictures or videos and also charge with many different printer charger docks. my only complaint is that most places you can get it from dont give you the chargeable battery, but on the other hand you can also use 3 different batts including regular double A witch is very convenient to always have backups. One more thing is that the camera itself seems lightweight and not as rugged as you might think from pictures. As long as it holds up on that end i dont see any problems with the lightweight construction.Read full review
Another awesome easy share camera from Kodak. This one is not point and shoot but it is close. it has alot of setings you can choose to get the best picture. it also shows you what it is focusing on before you take the picture. I still haven't figured out all of the features but I got great pics of my daughter playing soccer and I even recorded her singing in church...it was just like being there. you can also see it play back sound and all on the camera or you can plug it to the tv. you will need to get rechargable batteries or atleast the camera battery it calls for. It will take aa batteries but it eats them quickly...will work in a pinch. we are very happy and i think it will take us a while to outgrow this one. it is well worth the money.
This video/camera provides clear, HD resolute images. Two down falls that I have found with this type of camera: 1) Power hungry! Must use a recharger base-station (which I do not have), an AC power adapter (which costs $50 from Amazon), or the binary Lithium batteries at $10 a crack. 2) Must have an assistant for any/all solo shoots. Since it does not have a mobile/transversal view screen, you must take great care in setting up your shots. All in all, this has been a very fun camera and have taken some extensive videos (50 minute each) for college courses and have received rave reviews. This is a great buy if you are able to work with its limitations, mentioned above. Enjoy.
I bought the refurbished Kodak Easyshare Z812 IS 8.1 megapixel camera and Iam very pleased with the many features of it.The auto focus and 2.5in LCD make it very easy to use.It has great still and moving options, and the pictures so far are great. It also came with a 4 GB SD card which gives it a large number of pictures you can take without needing to change cards. With all the extras and cost Iam very pleased.
